Studio MeLli: Experimental Type Design & Typography Workshop

The workshop will begin with a brief introduction of the students and the instructor, followed by a presentation of slides. Through group discussions and active participation, we will explore a fresh perspective on letters and typography. Topics will include the details and requirements of typography, its crucial role in graphic design, and its relevance in everyday life. This knowledge will be applied in two different exercises.

1. In the first exercise, students will use specific methods, dimensions, and sizes to learn and experience the fundamentals of modular type design.

2. In the second exercise, we will combine emotions with physical reactions to letters by creating and using simple tools made from markers, tape, ribbon, and rubber band. We will collaboratively design, edit, and finalize unique creations.
